Protecting our 2A Rights - Issue 15
|
Are gun stores "essential" or put another way, is it "essential" to be able to protect oneself? In the following video and articles you will see evidence that there are those who deem this constitutional right to be not essential. However, if you see what is happening in the consumer market, there are a lot of people who feel the need to buy firearms and ammunition during these uncertain times. I am reading and hearing stories that online retailers are out of stock; local stores don't have ammunition; and places don't have enough employees to help all of the customers. This familiar story is the way things are every time there is a crisis. People stream into the churches and gun stores.
The question I ponder is what would the main stream media do if the President declared that the government was going to take over reporting on the pandemic and they wouldn't be allowed to broadcast? They would rightly stand up and declare that it is their constitutional right and it is protected. Sadly, the same doesn't hold for the amendment that follows the 1st Amendment.
We are still doing transfers, with a couple of new procedures so that we can all practice social distancing. Let us know if we can help you!
